About Enjoy2swim
I am based at St Georges Preparatory School swimming pool, using the tranquil and peaceful settings which is conducive to learning. So why not pop in, see me and kick start your life changing experience and enjoy the freedom of the water.
And as a first aid trainer and lifeguard trainer for the Royal Lifesaving Society I also offer a comprehensive list of courses covering first aid and CPR to keep your employees up to date on their training requirements.
This Is Me.
I was bought up in the it's in a sleepy seaside town called Seaford in East Sussex, famed for the beautiful Seven Sisters Cliffs which appear in many films and adverts.
My Mother ensured that both my Sister and I had swimming lessons from the age of 4 years old and she would take us every week to our local swimming pool in Eastbourne, it was the one activity my Mother would have us do until we started School which had a pool and we continued our swim journey from their.
I swam competitively at School and at 16 I took my Level 1 Teachers and my Bronze Medallion award and started teaching at my local swim Club and was a beach lifeguard volunteer at my local lifesaving Club.
Swimming teaching and lifesaving quickly became my passion.
I went on to take my level 2 swim teachers award and have worked and Managed 5 star hotel health Clubs such as the Grand Hotel in Brighton , the Mayfair Inter continental and the Conrad in Chelsea Harbour in London.
I moved to Jersey on my own in 2001 and took up a position at the Merton Aqua dome doing varying roles as a swim teacher, Supervisor and Lifeguard. I have worked in all the main Leisure facilities here in Jersey ever since.
I worked and still have close ties to Jersey Swimming Club which I am proud of as the Club supported me wholeheartedly when I saw a niche in the market to start Enjoy2swim offering 121 swimming Lessons at the Mayfair Hotel in 2012.
In 2018 I found what I hope will be my forever home here at the pool in St Georges Preparatory School.
I have kept to my ethos all these years by offering 121 or small group bespoke lessons in a quiet tranquil environment conducive to learning .
As I reflect I feel i have never been prouder of having my own swim school the support from my Clients enabled me to thrive and feel forfilled in my work as I turn 50 in December 2025.

Our Team
I am motivated and committed to helping and supporting our local community here in Jersey. I would like to make a difference by teaching others the valuable life skills

Nicky Holgate-Smith
As a Dyslexic, I fully understand that no one person learns the same way, therefore together we will adapt to support the way our clients want to learn. I have a real passion to teach and to help others to swim many of whom may have previously had a bad experience or built up a fear. I have taught swimming in a wide range of leisure facilities, swimming clubs and large well known 5-star hotel chains in London and Brighton, and locally here in Jersey. I have club coach experience and have trained junior squads to competition level and can offer additional stroke technique for all abilities.

Jo Nash
Jo was our Office Administrator from 2014 to March 2020 and had been part of Enjoy2swim since our Mayfair days where I taught both her boys to swim. Whilst Jo no longer formally works at Enjoy2swim she will always be cited as an important part of the success in our early formation of the business, and we will always be grateful for all her hard work.
Jo is also the founder of Philip’s Footprints (www.philipsfootprints.org). It is our pleasure to support both Jo and Philip’s Footprints whenever we can.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Enjoy2swim in partnership with St George's Preparatory School, are delighted to be able to offer long term support since 2022 to Healing Waves by offering lessons to Children who require more confidence with their swimming so they can take to the waves with the wonderful team at Healing Waves. Previously we have helped the Nixon Hansford Trust providing time for Nixon in the pool, improving his skills and confidence.
Enjoy2Swim have also worked with Les Amis residents, offering the opportunity to spend time in the pool to increase their swimming ability and confidence.
2021 saw me fundraising to support the JSPCA Animals' Shelter. I also took part in the Swim Smart Channel Relay 2021, raising vital funds for the charity who had also chosen the JSPCA Animals' Shelter as our Charity of the Year 2021.
Enjoy2train, our first aid training business, is a huge supporter of Philips Footprints Charity and always supports every October their Baby Loss Awareness Week .
I have supported the following Charities free of charge over the years:
Tiny Seeds
Grow Charity
Family Nursing and Home Care
Brighter Futures
Neil Hussey Heart Charity
RLSS Drowning Prevention Week,
JSPCA
Jersey Water Safety Campaign
In 2017, after meeting with Annie Noble and discussing how we could help raise water safety awareness following the drowning of her sister Joy, Nicky had the idea for Joy’s Water Safety Card, below, and had it designed. We were delighted that local water sports company Apnea stepped in to sponsor the cards that were distributed to key year groups in primary and secondary schools. We would also like to thank the Jersey Coastguard for their willingness to include the Jersey Water Safety Campaign, and Nicky and Annie, in their talks to schools. With the groundwork in place, we have now handed it over to the Noble family and wish them every success for 2018 and the future.
